I actually use this for my cat as she is plus sized (much cheaper than buying the cat version). Her vet recommended it as she has dry and dull fur with dandruff. So far her fur seems to be getting more shiny and the dandruff improving. She loves it, though she is highly food motivated so that is not really a surprise.

I have a golden retriever/boxer mix and I have to vacuum twice a day and brush her once a day to keep up with her shedding and I still come up short. I saw this product and the reviews and thought it would be great, but that is not the case. i have been using it for 3 weeks and nothing has changed. I was using Shed Stop first and it just about eliminated the problem completely. Now that I have switched to the FURminator I am back to brushing and vacuuming several times a day when I was only doing that once every 2-3 days. So, needless to say, I will DEFINATELY be going back to using the Shed Stop

Furminator is a good product. I have two greyhounds; one sheds a lot, the other doesn't. Both have softer, shinier coats since using Furminator, and my shedder's problems seem less so, although he is still shedding. I am hoping with further use the problem will dwindle away...

I don't know if my dogs would eat their plain food again without this mixed in.
