I was not sure if this product would work for our border collie. We had tried everything to get her to stop chasing vehicles, I was sure that one day she would be hit for sure. So this was our last resort. I always thought these sort of things were cruel, but it was more cruel to stand by and just throw our hands up in the air and take the chance that she would be run over. We only had to use this product twice! Since then we have maybe only used the warnning signal a couple of times, and she has not chased one vehicle since! She is a completely different dog. She doesn't bark at customers coming into our office anymore and we never used this product for that even once! She's very obedient, and now wags her tail at everyone!! My Husband and I were truley amazed at how great and fast this collar worked. I would definetly suggest this product to anyone with an animal with a behavior problem. I truly believe that it save d her life.

This product is increible. I got the pet safe fence for my garden, I've had it for a good few months, so when I started to use this collar all I had to do was press the tone button and my dog immediately behaved.
On a very rare occasion I may have to used the correction button. I've quite a large, strong dog and she'd pull you everywhere trying to walk her, but with this collar it's a dream to walk her now. I'm delighted! :)

I am very dissatisfied with the dog collar for the invisible fence. The replacement batteries are $10.00 each and I am going through 1 per month. That's $120.00 per year! Even if I turn it off all the time it is hard to get more then a month out of a battery. Why wasn't it manufactured with rechargeable batteries like every other manufacturer?

Just received this unit today and haven't had a chance to try it on the dogs yet, but will update this review after I use the unit for training.

This unit arrived very quickly, and works perfectly at a good distance according to the included and my own test lights. The quality of materials isn't quite the same as the 'name brand' unit I purchased last year for 3x the price, of course, but this one works. The high priced one didn't. And I got two decent quality collars.

The unit I purchased last year arrived defective, was replaced, and the replacement unit lasted about 2-3 weeks. Yes, it was constructed of better materials, but that didn't keep it from sitting on the shelf. I was finally told the (rechargeable) battery had gone bad. I didn't buy one.

I've read the other reviews here that battery life is short on these units, but for the price I would have paid to replace the battery in the more expensive unit I purchased an additional 20 batteries for this unit. More than enough for the training I'll be doing.

For basic training under normal conditions, this unit seems to be a very good deal for the price. If you're not a trainer and you'll only be using this to train your household pet(s), there's really no need to go with the much more expensive units. Packaging is great and the unit works, and for this price I could buy one a year and come out farther ahead than I did with the other systems. You don't always get what you pay for.

I'd have to recommend this unit for the casual trainer...

You cant find the batteries to it in the stores, and they are just way too expensive to order online. Its worth buying a more expensive unit with normal batteries, because the batteries that come with it go dead really really quick. Within a week we had gone through all the batteries that came with it.

- Range is really good, I could zap the dog in the back yard from my room on the second floor. (great for when the dog is doing something wrong because he thinks no one is watching)

- I tried it on myself before the dogs. (Yes on my neck) it zings!

- two dog feature is really neat...just mark the remote so you don't zap the wrong dog (ooopps) :(

- There is no "Bark" feature. to zap if dog yaps.
- There is no 'distance' feature that will zap if dog is too far away. similar to a wireless fence.

I was extremely disappointed that this item was as big as it is. Unfortunately, I have a very small Yorkie - 9 lbs. - and the spray container on the collar that holds the citronella is half the size of the dog's head and the dog cannot lift his head when I tried to put the collar on him. It weighted him down way too much for it be useful. I read somewhere that this could accomodate a dog over 6 lbs. - impossible!!!!! I was even more angry when I attempted to return it and then learned that this item cannot be returned because it is considered hazardous material!!!! So I basically just donated approximately $35.00 to this company for a product I must now destroy. This might be a good product for a larger dog, but definitely not for a smaller breed of dog.

Bought this product on hope..to our complete surprise it really works. There is no injury to the dog, and, now all we have to do is place the collar on her and no more barking. An inexpensive and humane solution...well worth the money.
